Introduction

Camano owners who are based in and around the Chesapeake Bay plus any passing through are invited to post your current and/or proposed dates and locations to facilitate joining up in a marina or anchorage for some ECCO camaraderie.

Jane and I are going to be cruising around the Bay this summer with Not A Clew and Irish Mist and we'd love to have some mini-Rondies with other crews.  So, let's get some commo going with each other on this blog or by email/telephone/VHF -- whatever!

  2. Just wrote a very long post and then when I tried to post it I lost the entire thing during a lengthy verification process - this one is just a test...

  3. Seems to be working now!

Hope you are all well & practicing social distancing. This COVID-19 pandemic is a very serious matter. Heather & I are in self quarantine following a trip to CT last Sun-Tue for a family funeral. I'm trying to prepare for the cruising season, but can only do so much under current restrictions. We identified the dingy & motor we plan to purchase, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Weaver davit components were delivered yesterday. I still haven't found the 2200 Honda generators we'd like - last year's recall is still impacting availability. I plan to install the auto pilot computer Tom provided & test it in coming days. What preparations are you all doing?

    1. After an unfortunate encounter with my leaf mulcher and subsequent visits to the doc, ER and OR we are also sticking close to home except for medical appointments and quick trips to the Giant and marina. Ed, Nancy and I were at Flag today working on thruster props and zincs.

I will have to heal a bit more before I can get to the hard work of cleaning and waxing.

  4. Ouch! That sounds messy. But you must be okay if you're doing any work on the boat.

    1. Great. Let me know if it works better than your old one.
What’s the latest on your dinghy?

Ed and I were able to get his thruster prop off. There were NO zincs on it!

Hope you and Heather are keeping proper distance,

      Tom

  6. We'll, Amazon finally started selling the EU2200i again. I've been checking every couple of days. They had 7 available @ $1049 and I purchased two and the companion cable!

Hope you are all symptom free...

  8. We were able to launch the boat this week and have spent the week prepping it for the summer. Big thing this winter was new canvas that I spent the winter making.
